Learn More About Me and My Work:

1. What career changes have you made?

From government employee to, recruiter, consultant, corporate employee and finally business owner. After college I worked for the Dept. of Social Services. Since I was a child I always believed all people should have the same opportunities and justice and thought I could facilitate that as a Social Worker. I did that in one form of another for 10 yrs. but was disappointed with the government system and my inability to really make a difference. After funding cuts I went in a completely new but now I realize perfect direction into recruiting. I worked for a number of firms & I finally struck out on my own as a recruiter. I then worked ‘in house’ as a contract recruiter in a number of companies and finally an employee as a Dir. of Americas Staffing. After a layoff I decided it was time to follow something I had wanted to do for about 8 years. I again struck out on my own and as founder and CEO began building Kieler Career Consulting.

Why did you become a coach?

Coaching is really something I have always done & I finally got trained and do it full time for a living! The kind of coaching I do is a combination of my first two careers. Helping people through transition, to find opportunities and something they can be as happy doing as I am doing coaching. I want others to see the opportunities to find and follow their dreams.

2. What excites or ignites your soul?

Seeing someone see the ‘a ha’! Seeing the stuck become unstuck, the lost become found and the hopeless become hopeful! Life can be difficult but we make it more difficult. When people find that they are in their own way in their transition and start to get out of their way it is really about as cool as it gets. When someone takes off and flies, I love going along for the free trip!

3. What's your favorite element of the Career Clarity Program and Purpose Clarity Program?

First of all it is so rich in content and covers so much. I had thought of designing a similar program but after meeting Carol and seeing the program, why re-create the wheel? I love the brainstorming and the way it first helps clients get really clear on their values and the lifestyle they want to live and then shows them how to create a career around that instead of the other way around.

4. What results have other clients achieved while working with you?

I have worked with numerous clients who have gone from Corporate to owning their own business such as owner of a health food store, Mortgage Consultant, entertainer, future actress, artist, coach, etc. Many have gone from positions or companies that were not rewarding to them into ones that were such as sales, marketing, human resources, finance, and engineering. Some have gone back to school to change careers or give themselves the opportunity to move in directions otherwise blocked.

5. How do you typically work with clients interested in the Career Clarity Program and Purpose Clarity Program?

I work with many of my clients one-on-one, usually on the phone and sometimes in person. I also do groups both via teleclass and live. People find it easy and very satisfactory to work over the phone but I also enjoy the live interaction and hope to continue adding more groups.
