Learn More About Me and My Work:

1. What career changes have you made? Why did you become a coach?

I began my career at NASA where I was part of the spacecraft tracking team for the early manned spacecraft flights. I then moved from a technical role into a management role, specializing in developing large software systems for NASA and the state of North Carolina. After almost a decade of service in government, I began a 28-year career with Holiday Inns, Inc., now known as Intercontinental Hotels Group. During my corporate career I served in a variety of executive and management roles in several functional business areas that included Information Systems, Human Resources, Franchising, and Planning. I started ten different departments while at Holiday Inns. When I left the corporate world, I founded my own coaching business, Inside Track Coaching, Inc., and started niches for Retirement Coaching (Embracing Your Retirement) and Career Coaching (Embracing Your Career).

I believe I have been a coach for most of my management career. Of all of my accomplishments, I am most proud of how I have coached and helped develop hundreds of my business associates over the years. It was only natural for me to formally become a coach after I left the corporate world, so that I could continue the work that I was both passionate about and good at doing.

 

2. What excites or ignites your soul?

My true passions are learning and sharing my knowledge with others, supporting them in their own personal development. I also love the processes of creating and building, whether it's a work of visual art, an organization, or a new piece of software to make people more productive.

3. What's your favorite element of the Career Clarity Program and Purpose Clarity Program?

I enjoy brainstorming ideas with my clients and helping them to see the broad expanse of possibilities for their lives. This stage appeals to my passion for creating and building and sharing that ability with my clients.

4. What results have other clients achieved while working with you?

One of my clients who experienced a crippling illness earlier in his life had difficulty seeing past that barrier to the possibilities for his life in retirement. Now that I've helped him to see past his own limiting beliefs, he sees many exciting options to enjoy his life for many years to come.


Other clients have developed plans for new businesses, and new approaches to their retirement years, including potential retirement careers doing what they had always dreamed of doing.

 

5. How do you typically work with clients interested in the Career Clarity Program and Purpose Clarity Program?

I usually work with clients one-on-one over the phone or in person, if they are local and prefer that. I also do group classes using teleconferencing phone lines and internet-based materials. Basically, I am open to whatever format works best for my clients.
